Mommy's big boy

Tyler's really learning and developing each day. It's truly amazing how well children understand language at just a year old. Tyler has learned to pick up his dirty clothes and put them in his "basket." We will hand him something and ask him to put it in his basket. He knows right where to go. This morning there were a few new shirts of his laying in the living room. He picked them up, babbled something, and off he went. Without prompting him, he took them right to his laundry basket in his room. Here's a video from the other day. He's also learned to say the word "on." He will ask you to turn the toy on or put his shoes on by bringing them to you and saying "on." He does it at the end of the video with his shoes.

I've been really working with Tyler on a few hand gestures so he is able to better communicate with me. He always knows what he wants to say, but just doesn't have the words to express it yet. He's learned the sign for 'all done.' It's amazing how well he uses it and not just at meal time. He uses it through out the day as well. Recently, I've been focusing on a sign for "more." Today, he really picked up on it and started using it at lunch! I was so proud of him.....and he was of himself as well! Here he is showing his "more" sign. He was getting full by this point and it was close to nap time, but I got it.
