I parent like a teacher ;)

I typically use a first-then approach with my younger students at school ("first you do this, then you do this"). I've seemed to carry that same approach over with Tyler. I must admit, it works quite well. I even demonstrate it on my hands with the two options. Well, he's caught on and now mimics me!
We went to the "green store" (Dollar Tree) and found a race car to paint. I told him in the car that first we have to take a nap, then we can paint the race car. Here's Tyler making it very clear on what we will be doing for the day :)
