I absolutely HATE spiders! Big or little, they really freak me out! Well, wouldn't you know we have the winner of the Guinness World Records for spiders living in our front bush!!!! Of all places for this thing to find a home! I thought I was going to pass out when I looked over and saw this thing. I really believe it could eat me whole if it wanted to.
I researched the nasty thing on the internet. Turns out they are a kind of garden spider and are harmless - not that it makes it any less horrifying. They are actually called a 'writing spider.' It is said that they can eat things up to twice their body size! Good thing I didn't get too close after all!
